I have been researching my family history for about three years now, although with varying levels of activity and success! These pages summarise my research and interests to date, everything from the surnames I am researching through to articles I have written and transcriptions of data.
Most of my research is based in the West Riding of Yorkshire, particularly Pontefract, Wakefield, Leeds and the towns within the triangle formed by those three. My paternal grandfather's family (SENIOR) originated in Leeds and my paternal grandmother's family (FROST) came from the Wakefield area. My mother's father (WILCOCK) was from Pontefract and was from a long line of Pontefract ancestors. My maternal grandmother's family (STRANGWARD) came from outside of Yorkshire, from the Huntingdon area, and this STRANGWARD family is one that my sister has researched extensively.
